Heir to the Bloodline

It runs in the family, don’t ever go against it

Lies, manipulation, abuse, and addiction

Almost second nature to us all

Power, greed, lust and revenge

We can’t resist following their call

Nay we’re not infamously known but could

Can’t run away from it like we should

Try as we might the business comes calling

All the good deeds we can do is only stalling

It flows in our veins, don’t try to abstain it

Fractured on both sides till we must wear black

As the family number starts to dwindle further

We can either let it fall or rebuild a stronger empire

As the older generation keeps resting six down

Perhaps it’s time for a new Don to take the seat

The next Patron, a proper Godfather in charge

Someone to finally raise the family name from the ashes it’s known

Who better than the one born perfectly between two different times

The one who’s own members deemed can be the worst if he wanted

His hands aid others with ease, but will also carry blood if need be

Empathetic, guiltless, passionate, cold-hearted, trustworthy, thoughtful

The perfect brew-up for leading this dynasty to a modern era

Only this time it may be best to include friends into the family

For it can’t be done alone and they’ve been there for him always

Absolution will come for him one day, but it’s time to sit at the head

A fresh day dawns, and the heir has finally accepted his fate

Time to carry his family legacy, and give rise to a new generation. . .
